Isolation Transformer
Isolation transformers operate in the same manner as other transformer types. However, they are primarily used in electrical systems to provide galvanic isolation. They can be used as step-down or step-up transformers, but they usually have an identical turns ratio. This means that the primary voltage value is the same as the secondary voltage value. As a result, the number of turns on the primary obtained equals the number of secondary windings. Isolation transformers are used in a variety of electrical devices such as computers, measurement instruments, and specific industry power electronic devices.
